Wit & Humor of the stories flowing together with the truth of Proverbs emerging to give meaning to some of the life experiences of the characters. Well written and easy to recognize some of the characters as being similar to characters I grew up around during the early part of my life when life was simple & God's influence on people was more prevalent in general. Enjoyed the short stories so much that I decided to share the book as a gift to family & friends. I believe it is a book that can be read again periodically, with enjoyment & reinforcement of the Proverbial truths within.

I was just on chapter 2 when my Kindel died. Hopefully it will be revived soon. What I had read so far was not what I had hoped to find. Maybe it will get better.

bought this as a gift for my husband. he loves this book. It will soon make the rounds of our family.

June Bug Johnson is a colorful character with a great sense of humor, charm, and wit. But his best trait may very well be that he sees and hears others at their worst and their best and takes it to heart. He's a firm believer that you don't have to make all the mistakes to learn important lessons. You can learn plenty of lessons from the poor mistakes and decisions of others as well as watching their example. Reading the book will make you wish you'd known June Bug all your life. Great read.

This book brought many smiles to my face. I felt as if I was there personally in each story. Good wholesome, uplifting, down to earth, stories that you can relate to. Some stories were like revisiting my childhood. My favorite story was about the pig named Lucy. A very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book. I even bought a copy for my parents for Christmas. They absolutely love it.

This was such a funny and heart-warming book. Being from Alabama, I loved how it felt like real, everyday life. I watched June Bug and his friends struggle, succeeding some and failing some, being stupid and smart, loving and losing. This book will make you feel it all!

Very down to earth wisdom for daily living packaged in chapters which are quick and to the point.
