I did enjoy this story to an extent. It took a cliché plot (running into a former lover and starting anew but falling into the same patterns) yet still made it interesting, funny, and a general good read. The artwork is nice, the sex scenes are indeed hot, and it transitions well.However, there is "that scene." It's... an uncomfortable read, to say the least, and "questionable consent" isn't even a "trigger" for me. We do get to see some character depth as an explanation for this scene but none of the depth given vindicates the seme of his actions. Honestly, I was rather appalled by how often the uke was willing to forgive, or even take responsibility for, the seme's explosive, and often uncalled for, anger. It really came across as an unhealthy relationship at best, and a volatile, abusive relationship at worst.So, overall, it's an okay read. But if, for you, "he's had a tough time and isn't good at expressing himself, and also is the extremely jealous type" falls short of a good excuse for assault and sexual assault, then you may want to skip this one.

A great yaoi a balance of HOT sex and a great story. Did I mention the hot sex? If your in to more of the shonen ai this isn't your thing just a btw. But I so glad I bought this!!

I really enjoyed this story. Just got volume two, can't wait to read it. The plot itself isn't ground breaking but it's just well written and feels fresh. Even though our characters have a rough history the relationship still developed in a very sweet way. I love love love the way the manga is drawn and will be seeking out new and older works by this artist. I recommend it highly.

Wow, this graphic novel is rough. I was hoping for an interesting emotional journey with a push-pull dynamic, judging from the description and the cover art.This is the story of an unhealthy relationship with problems that never get solved and barely get addressed. For me, it wasn't even unhealthy in an exciting, sexy way, it was just scary.Also, trigger warning, this includes a rape scene. It's brief, but graphic and there is NO nuance. It is VERY clear that it is NOT okay.If what I described sounds like your jam, you will love this book. It's art is pretty and the main character is likable.However, for me it lacked romance, depth and left me feeling a little sick.
