About the Author

Suzanne L. Lowensohn is an associate professor of Accounting at Colorado State University. She received a BS and a MAcc degree from the University of South Florida, and her PhD from the University of Miami. She is a certified public accountant (Florida) and a chartered global management accountant. Dr. Lowensohn has served on the Governmental Accounting Standards Board Intangible Issues Task Force and Comprehensive Implementation Guide Advisory Committee, on the Government Finance Officers Association Special Review Executive Committee, on the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants Governmental Issues Committee, on the AICPA FARS Content Subcommittee, and as president of the Government and Nonprofit Section of the American Accounting Association. Prior to joining academia, she worked for KPMG and performed numerous governmental audits. Professor Lowensohn has published articles in Journal of Accounting and Public Policy; Research in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting; Accounting and the Public Interest; Journal of Accounting Lite r ature ; Issues in Accounting Education; and Behavioral Research in Accounting, among others. She joined as an author on the 16th edition.

I needed this access card for one of my college classes and I was trying to save some money. My school only had the textbook and access code combo, which can be expensive So I decided to go for the access code only since there's always the e-book included on the website. When I checked the actual website for the class, the code was still about $120. I decided to check amazon right before I went through with my purchase. I was so glad I did, I was able to purchase this code for half the price, at $60 with tax! Not going to lie, I did feel a bit nervous ordering this because it seemed to good to be true but I took the risk and was left satisfied. I made sure I ordered the access card that was in "New" condition, the card was unused and the code still worked. I will definitely come back to check amazon for future access codes.

The access card is fine, in that it provided access to the online materials. The online book and homework assignments could have been better compared to other online systems I have used (Wiley Plus). The navigation in this product is poor. It's hard to move through the text any way other than one chapter at a time. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the annoying woman that pops up periodically telling you to work on practice questions.

The Connect Access Card for Accounting for Governmental and Nonprofit Entities 17th edition worked as advertised. I was able to register into my class course and I was given access to the online eText. My membership lasts for 6 months.
